Bring the kids on July 4. We'll help keep them entertained.

One of primary themes of An American Celebration is education - important lessons about the history of our founding and the legacy of liberty it has given us.

We will have fun games and quizzes for young folks in between many of the main stage activities, but we all know that children can't sit still for long on a nice summer day.

With that in mind, we'll have a number of activities for children and teens throughout the day on July 4. There will be a moonwalk and a bouncy big-glove boxing ring, plus face painting and other fun games.

We'll also have a puppet show and a magic act, along with a karate demonstration from Super Kicks Karate in Salem.

In between these scheduled activities, we'll have

Children's area schedule:
  • 1:00 - Face painting (till 4:00 pm)
  • 2:00 - Super Kicks demonstration
  • 3:00 - Super Kicks demonstration
  • 4:00 - Magic, juggling show

  • 6:00 - Super Kicks demonstration
Brennan Scott will be our magician and juggler, and Jeff Scott our puppeteer.

John Bryant from Super Kicks and several of his young students will demonstrate important self-defense skills that any child can quickly learn.

In between these scheduled activities, we'll have games, races and other fun activities running from 1:00 to 7:00 pm.

We will also have balloons for the kids while supplies last.
